Give your child the gift to play freely and creatively in nature!
Our outdoor after school program takes place in the “Wonder Village” - a whimsical forest in Prospect Park where kids go on missions that lead them to play together, build relationships, and solve conflicts using compassionate communication. We set up creative stations to inspire imaginative play, and they do the rest!
KEY DETAILS:
✔ Who: Multi-age group of 5-11 year olds.
✔ What: All weather, hybrid indoor-outdoor program (read our Inclement Weather Plan for more details)
✔ When: 3.30 to 5.30pm
Winter (January to mid March 2025): Wednesdays
Spring (mid March to June 2025): Mondays and Wednesdays
✔ Where: at Prospect Park (west side)
Winter: The Picnic House (40 West Dr.)
Spring: The Wonder Village (little forest by Litchfield Villa)
✔ Healthy snack provided every day.
✔ Personalized attention to every child, with a teacher-student ratio of 1:5 maximum

Wonder Kids After School offers an immersive experience in a unique natural setting. Here, the Wonder Kids are free to engage with the natural world and build authentic relationships with other children.
With props, costumes, building supplies, and mysterious scrolls with missions, every day becomes a unique adventure where children develop their own games, characters and stories through free play.
Experienced leaders in outdoor education and creative play create a safe environment in which children can feel calm and confident to discover new facets of themselves. Our activities encourage the expansion of the imagination and a sense of security for when trying new things.
We do improvisational play, music, dance, and theater with talented artists who collaborate with us, exposing children to diverse forms of creative self-expression.

Venmo $25 per hat to @schoolofwonder, and pick it up at your next camp date!
