A tribute to our Wonder Party celebration in Madrid 2021

The Wonder Party.

Dazzled. Overwhelm. Brewing excitement.
Parents and children awaiting their instructions.
Shyly stepping forwards, confidence rising as envelopes are passed and stickers are assigned.
What happens next?
Maps unfolded, and missions are revealed - there’s no pressure to complete them, just joy to be fulfilled.
First stop the beach and cabaña building, then painting an egg, and hiding it where I feel.
Mark the spot.
Now things feel familiar, I run to the next zone but I keep hold of Daddy’s finger.
More games to be played, I want to join in - batting beasts and throwing the javelin!
Hungry for more and confidence now soaring, I traipse to the Temple and find the mystic woman.
My heart and mind are now taken over as I receive my next missions and start to connect with surrounding nature. Calmness prevails as I listen carefully, later I’m yelling my invented sound to Daddy.
We connect.
And having found our sound, we’re in the jungle and finding each other.
We leave the Temple, our hearts beating together - the music draws us to the dance-floor where we fly, twist, turn and writhe together. Smiles, laughter and not stop pitter patter - there’s new friends around bonded by our shared experience at the Wonder Party together.
Now where are those eggs?
Let the final mission complete our adventure.

Families in Madrid were invited to come and join our "Wonder Party " in celebration of the opening of our new local community “Familias Wonder en Madrid” on Sunday, 4th April 2021.
The event was held in Madrid’s iconic Retiro Park with an “Easter Island” mapped out covering various play-zones such as “El Kiosco de Música” , “La Playa” , “La Ruta Salvaje” and “El Templo de Wonder” . Imaginations were ignited and plenty of wonder activated.

The new community can be joined here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/familiaswondermadrid

If you’d like your child to join our after school adventures in Brooklyn, you can read more information here!
